I am 18 but my parents claimed me... i filed as single... will i get the rebate? but why wont they get the extra rebate for me then? No here is a list of criteria that disqualifies you from the tax rebate If your parent claimed you, I don't think you can file claiming yourself because your parents have already taken the exemption for you. Your parents will get the rebate and get more for claiming you as a dependant. No, dependents aren't eligible. no if your parents claimed you then no rebate and they will not get it either must be under 17 at the end of dec 31 2007 |
