I'm a retired senior. Easy tax question (please see details?)?

I get a pension of 400 dollars a month. Some of this is withheld. I have a 1099-R showing tax information for this.

I also get 1100 a month from social security. I do not have a form showing tax information for this, but I do know the exact dollar amount of income I had from SS in 2007.

I wish to file, not only to recieve the stimulus money, but also to collect taxes withheld from my pension.

My questions are, which form should I use, since I want the stimulus money AND moneys withheld from my pension checks?

Also, can I file my taxes without a tax form from the Social Security Administration?

1040A.

You need to attach the 1099-R because money withheld. You don't need to attach the SSA-1099, but DO list the money in box 14A so that it can qualify you for the ESP program.

Yes, there are special instructions for you to file on the IRS' website. You will need to file a 1040 A and write STIMULUS REBATE across the top of it. Click this link and visit the IRS website for more information on what you need to file to get you refund and your stimulus rebate. http://www.irs.gov/newsroom/article/0,,i...

File Form 1040-A and stop withholding on your pension because your tax will continue to be zero. Your social security will not be taxable so just enter the amount you get on the tax form and show the taxable part as zero.

1040A would do the job. 1040 would also. You need to know the amount for your ss for the year. If you are filing for the stimulus only, you can estimate and they'll verify it, but since you're also filing for a refund on your pension withholding the numbers should be correct.

You might want to tell them to stop holding money out of your pension, then you wouldn't have to bother to file for future years.

The stimulus payments don't start going out until next month, so it isn't that. And it'll come from the IRS, not from the state of CA - sounds like it's your state refund.
