Direct deposit tax refunds when filed through the mail? |
I had an accountant do my taxes but i had to send them through the mail. We are suppose to have our refund direct deposited. Does anybody know how long that it takes til the money is in my account and can i access it right away? Also i live in arkansas if that matters. Thanks in advance and i will choose a best answer! Figure 3 to 5 weeks for a direct deposit refund from a mailed return. TFTP. Report It If you requested Direct Deposit on your return then the date given on the IRS web site is the date the fund will be wired to your bank. What I don't know is if it is done in the morning or in the evening of that date. I work @ a tax place what Ive understood should take about 3 weeks to get check unless theres a problem with your return. If you look on irs.gov it should have somewhere called wheres my refund and it should give you ballpark on when it gets mailed. Hope that helped. Once it gets in someone's hand at the IRS, it takes about 2 weeks to get direct deposited. Next time, tell the accountant you want to do the taxes electronic. It saves time and paper. i would give it like 4 weeks or so. it could be faster tho since it is direct dep. |
