What happened to my tax return?? |
I sent my federal and state tax forms on April 3 and designated Direct Deposit. I just checked the IRS's "Where's my refund?" site. I know I put in the correct information, but it came back saying no information was available. Does that mean that they lost my return, or that it never got there? Will I have to refile, and will I get fined because they got lost? I've been out of work for six months, and my mortgage check just bounced. I need this refund! (Not to mention the stimulus package.) Wait for a few days more before you check the status. Same thing happened to me this morning. Status changed to no information available after they had already ackowledged getting my efile. Hoping that it is maybe just updating data or something, but wondering what is going on. It usually takes time to update information.....try it once again and if possible give a call to the IRS asking about your status. I believe it can take anywhere from two -three weeks before they have any information in their system about your refund It can take at least 3 weeks for your return to be entered into the system. It hasn't been 3 weeks yet. it got mailed to the illegal alien that is stealing your identity I filed my sons the same day and he just got his today. so maybe yours will be there monday. |
