My Employer falsified my W-2, now wants to change it to a 1099? |
Employer gave me paychecks all year with just net amounts, didn't show tax withheld. Furnished W2 with all tax info on it. Now, April 16, says he's sending me a 1099 instead. What dept. of the IRS can I approach to handle this? This is serious! What's important is: What DEPT. of the IRS to contact? How to reach the problem resolution office? How to report fraud...Need a department where I can put all this in writing, to document my contacting IRS before they come after me! Get form SS-8. Fill it out. File with the W-2 and keep the SS-8 ready to go. This is serious.
