Federal taxes...?

When people pay their federal taxes what does the government do with the money?

The monies collected go into the general fund to help pay the bills of the United States Government. This is why the government moved all the social security to the general fund some years back and we are having a problem keeping enough funds to pay social security checks now.

When you hear all the talk of the budget, the money that pays for that budget comes in part from Income Tax paid in with your tax returns.

Hope this at least partially answered the question.

WASTE IT.
