How much would I take home in pay?

I live in Orlando, Fl. I make $14.50/hr. I get paid every week. And I have 2 child dependents. How much take-home pay would I get?

40 hour week

It depends, are you claiming 0 people or 3-4 on your W-2

for me "claiming 0 dependents I bring home 69 to 72 % of my pay, That is after medical and 401k.

for you, you will gross $580 per 40 hour straight time check
$174 would go towards taxes medical ect. So I figure you will bring home $406 a pay.

If you claim your dependents on your W-2 you will bring home more BUT your tax refund will be smaller. Were talking about 20 bucks a pay but it adds up $20 x 52pays is $1040 you Will not get back tax time.

Maybe around $500--depends. How many hours. 401K, health insurance, life insurance, overtime.

@ 14.50 Per Hour - Your Gross Pay for 40 Hours Per Week -
Will be $580.

If you claim no exemption(s) - Meaning you let your employer deduct all possible taxes - Your take home will be - $486.
At the end of the year you will get Refund of all the tax credits
you can present in your return.

For comparison purpose - if you claim "4" exemptions - your
take home will increase by $33 to $519.
You can claim exemption for 2 Children you have for example.

You can use following link to calculate yourself the Take home
using the Calculator available online on this link:

Good Luck.

I can't answer this question because I have no idea what you claim on your W-4.

To determine what your take home pay would be Read IRS Publication 15 and the similar publication for the state you reside.

Social Security taxes are withheld at 7.65%.
