Completing ss-8 forms? |
I have completed the form and desire to mail it off on Monday. Is it a good idea to do so without having received a 1099-misc or without a copy of all paychecks? Or do I need to wait until I have received the 1099-misc? Yeah I did notice that it said that it would contact the firm (employer) to get their side. We were wondering if we should inform this guy of us filling out this info or let him get blind-sided? Remember, you are arguing that you *aren't* getting paychecks, but gross payments. If you know for sure that you are getting a 1099-Misc (eg, they told you $10 an hour and the checks are for $10 an hour), you might as well get the process started. There is no requirement to send those docs with the SS-*. Just be sure that you state the facts ans circumstances correctly. |
