How much does it cost for a tax place to do your taxes for you? |
Do you have your taxes done by professionals? How much does it cost? What is the best place you've found to do it for you? I do my own and I do others for cheap. Here is a starting point for you for comparison; I have two college degrees, 36 years tax prep experience, college level computer training, yada. I do a federal and state of montana return and electronically file them for a flat $ 45.00. If you don't have a complication tax situation then do it yourself. I have been using Turbo Tax for about 10 years. There is others around like TaxCut. These are usually around $40. A professional will probably charge you $100 - $200+ depending on your situation. I have a tax accountant(CPA) do my. I don't want any problems with IRS. I pay anywhere from $65.00 to $100.00. I personally would not go to H&R Block or Jackson Hewitt some are only open during tax season and if you have a problem arise with your taxes you can go to them. Nothing. For the last several years, I've used a IRS' Free File Alliance partner, H & R Block, and do my own for free. |
