W2 question!? |
If I filed taxes last but left out a w2 beacause I didn't have it, can I include it this year and if so, how do I do that? You have to file an amended return (1040X) for the year of the W-2. You can't put income from one year on the return for another year. 2006 w-2s go on the 2006 tax return. It's called amending. Get the 1040x form and instructions and take a look. Logically you are showing the IRS the math before and after the change. No, you can't do that. You'll have to file an amended return (form 1040X) for 2006. |
