My son was born on 12/26/07, can I legally claim him on this years taxes? Yes. If your child was born in calendar year 2007, even 11:59 on December 31st, you can claim him. Congrats! Yes!!! You should have a lot of deductions. Yes. if you don't i will....LOL just kidding. any child born in the year 2007 should be claimed on 2007 tax returns. You sure can. Nice timing!
