are the standard deductions(social security,medicare,federal,ca,and dbl) and can any of these deductions be changed. Social Security & Medicare are fixed percentages and can't be changed (although the social security withholding stops after you reach $97,500 for the year). Federal and state income tax at various rates. Social Security at 6.2%, Medicare at 1.45% and California State Disability tax at .6% |
