How long does my employer have to pay me if he fired me?

How long does my employer have to pay me if he fired me?

This will depend on your state.

Some have to have a check in hand when they fire you - some have up to a week.

Depends on your state.

In Nevada it seem like they have 72 hours.

In most states you get your last check on your regularly scheduled pay date.

Try this, google: yourstate paycheck termination and see what comes up.

depends on the state u r in, some are immediately, some are next payroll period, check with ur wage and hour board located in state capital

Some will pay you on the normal pay cycle. If I was fired, I wouldn't get that paycheck for 3 weeks.

Plus if you are owed vacation time, that will take longer.

In New Hampshire, they have 72 hours.

Was your very first check withheld after you started your job? If so, you'll receive it now.

Most employers will pay you on their regualr payroll cycle unless state law mandates otherwise.
