If their office is your main place of work, and it sounds like it is since you talk about "to/from work everyday", then no, from home going to work and back is commuting expense and not deductible.

If they send you to other sites during the workday, the mileage between sites could be deducted.

you can if you start working from the time you leave your house. my husband claims him cause he is on call and and when he gets a call that is considered work.

The IRS will consider the first and last trips of the day to be commuting expenses. (Even if you are on the phone.)

Commuting expenses are not deductible.

Adding to VB's answer, commuting costs are deductible only if you have a qualified home office.

Business mileage, such as driving from assignment to assignment, is a deductible expense, to the extent that it exceeds any payments from your employer. Daily commuting from/to your residence to/from your work is considered a personal expense, and therefore not deductible.
