I can't file my taxes until feb 11th!? |
because i use the Child and Dependent Care Expenses Form. i'm peeved! i want my return. there isn't anyway around this is there? If you want to give me your particulars I will figure out your tax numbers with and without the 2441 / child and dependent care expenses. Just you as head of household? how many children? under or over age 17 (for CTC purposes). As head of household your standard deduction is 7850, and you receive 3,400 for each dependent; point is that you may not have to use the 2441 if your bottom line refund is the same. With just your gross income, amount withheld for FIT, number of children and age, I can crunch the numbers in for you and give you exact refund figures. In theory, you could file a 1040 with a form 2441 (it's the same child care, but for some unknown reason it's not on the delay list). The delay is only for 1040A filers. If you use the long form (1040) with the attached 2441 form you should be O.K. You wold also speed things up by filing electronically |
