How much is tax in iowa? |
like when you buy something theres always a tax. im wondering what it is in iowa. Go to this website: It tells all!!! It depends on what part of the state. It's 5% for the state itself, but some places locally have a sales tax. Like in Des Moines, it's 6% because there was a local option sales tax they passed in the 90s to pay for an update of the schools, and it's supposed to last for ten years, and there's only a couple years left on it unless they renew it. Otherwise it goes back down to 5%. So yeah, it just kind of depends on where at in the state you're at. |
