Who has benefited from the reduction of base rate income tax?

I earn well above Nationial Average Earnings and although my income tax has only risen by 2.4% after a 4.3% pay increase, my National Insurance take has increased by 15%! This government! They take with one hand and take with the other.

The Upper Earnings Limit has increased by 拢5,200 pa which means you will be paying 11% on this amount instead of 1% so your NI conts will have increased by 拢520pa on the increased UEL and 1% above that.
