Shoring up Banks and Mortgages but doubling the Poor's taxes?

this shows New Labour's priorities right?! The MIDDLE CLASSES !!!

Why did they rely on the one-trick pony of financial services anyway? That isn't an economy.

I find myself ever more confused about the whole idea of giving sureties to the banks in the first place. Why is the government making sure that house prices stay so daftly high ? Vested interest maybe ? At some point, this stupid government will have to accept that they have borrowed too much and forced those in the public to do the same ... a correction will have to be made. To effectively create an overdraft facility for banks helps no-one.

What is happening is a government telling us that being massively in debt is right and good. It isn't, it is stupid, short-sighted and above all, very dangerous for the long-term economy of the country. But then they don't really give a monkey's any more do they ... they know they wont be responsible for the problem once they lose the next election ... which they will, by landslide.

I don't think the middle classes are one of Labour's priorities either when you look at their record. They've attacked the middle classes for years with stealth taxes but nobody complained because it was all about 'redistributing wealth'. Well, the wheels have finally come off, the coffers are empty and if you want a change, vote Conservative.

To be fair the poor have not done too bad over the years with this Govt....and its really only young single people and those who are above the threshold for child tax credit who will suffer, not the poor in general....so get your facts right.

vote conservative then!
