My husband is a self-employed builder. Can I claim for storing all his business paperwork, tools, etc at home, as a tax expense? What about heating and lighting? He can include a reasonable charge for use of domestic property in his accounts. If you have an expense related to a business, you can usually deduct it. You'll probably do well to use review the IRS guidelines about deducting business expenses. |
