Tax Rebate Question?

Hi
My wife stopped working in September last year.
During that time she earned 拢7500, she sent a form P50 together with the part of her P45 to Mr Taxman.
This was around the 20th March.
Can anyone tell me how long this should take, thanks in advance.

We are in the Uk not the US

You have to keep bugging them otherise they are just gonna drag their feet. I'm going to be in a similar situation and i've been told that once i send off the forms and not heard anything for a couple of weeks then i need to keep ringing them and chasing them up.

It really depends on how much post is on hand in her tax office. I have heard that in some offices, they are holding 8 weeks post.
Why didnt she claim in September, before the end of year rush?

Since April 5th sees the end of the fiscal year, the refund should be handled around May/ June
