What are the current Income support rates?

I am married and have 2 children, one of whom gets middle rate disability allowance. I get carers allowance for looking after him and I have been told I can claim Income Support too. Does anyone know how much this would be for our family? Neither my husband or myself work at the moment.

Hi am not sure because your situation is different to mine, however I was getting 拢48 a week carers allowance and 17.50 Income support (Hubby gets middle and lower rate DLA and also Incapacity) but they have now put carers allowance up to 拢50 but lowered the income support to 拢15.
It would also depend on what your husband claims (ie job seekers allowance)
There is a government website you can go to, and it will give you an idea of what you might get.
entitledto.gov.uk I think.
Or contact your local Job centre to ask about claiming.
every person is different and will get different amounts beause it depends on the individual circumstances.
Don't be put off though, make a claim anyway!
