Tax issues when moving abroad...?

My boyfriend and I are moving to Dubai (so excited!!) both have jobs out there and will be looking to rent/purchase a property. We have a house in the UK with a joint mortgage that we are going to rent out. I will remain resident in the UK due to my job, my boyfriend will be on a local employment contract over there. We need to understand how my residency in the UK could affect his non-residency for tax purposes as our rental income will be joint - HMRC gives no advice and we're stuck!

What makes you think you'll be UK resident when you move to Dubai? Are you going to Dubai or working in the UK?
The fact that you're UK resident is not relevant to your tax position.
If you let property in the UK you are liable to UK tax even if you're not ordinarily resident here.
Your status doesn't affect his.
