Tax issues when moving abroad...? |
My boyfriend and I are moving to Dubai (so excited!!) both have jobs out there and will be looking to rent/purchase a property. We have a house in the UK with a joint mortgage that we are going to rent out. I will remain resident in the UK due to my job, my boyfriend will be on a local employment contract over there. We need to understand how my residency in the UK could affect his non-residency for tax purposes as our rental income will be joint - HMRC gives no advice and we're stuck! What makes you think you'll be UK resident when you move to Dubai? Are you going to Dubai or working in the UK? |
