How long will it take for my tax rebate to come through? |
I stopped working in november after handing in my notice to move and then found out i was pregnant and haven't worked since - i've not been claiming any benefit and I had been in the same job since the beginning of the tax year. I decided to claim a tax rebate. I was wondering if anyone has been in a simular situation and knew how long it takes to process and how soon i will hear from them? It depends, if they have your full employment history for 2007/08, if they have prob between 3-4 wks. Tax office is supposed to reply within 4 weeks. However reply may not be repayment if they don't know what you were doing between leaving your job, and the end of the tax year on 05/04/08. It could be a history of employment query instead. |
