How come when you write a cheque to somebody it takes 3-4 days to clear. If you tax your car at the postoffice |
If you write a cheque to somebody then it will not leave your account for 3-4 days. Write one out for your car or bike tax and it goes straight away? i didn't know that,thanks. I didn't know that either. Cheeky buggers!! The amout of times i have waited and waited for a cheque to clear because i have been desperate for cash. I have noticed that myself, they must have preferential clearing? don't see why they should, It also applies to cheques made out to inland revenue and VAT money to the gov that's why....yet the taxman owes us and we have to fight to get it... |
