Tax Credit rip off!?

Has anyone else experienced this. You suddenly out of the blue get a letter to say you've been overpaid ta credits and you have to pay money back. This happened to me about 3 years ago, said i'd been overpaid about 拢2500 and my partner 拢2500 and even sent a bailif to house about a year ago. I still havent paid them any money. What will happen?

Pop down to your Local CAB and ask them for the forms to appeal the overpayment, if you provided all the correct information and they overpaid you by their mistake they cannot legally ask you for the money back. I've done this and I was sucessful.
