How to calculate capital gains when cost of stock is not known when selling.?

How to calculate capital gains when cost of stock is not known when selling.?

Stock is a trading item and has no relevance for CGT unless you are bringing an asset into your business as stock.

calculate unit sales and go from there i guess.

You only realise a "capital gain" when you have actually sold stock. You're allowed an annual capital gains allowance of 拢9200 (this year) so you'll have to make a gain of over this to actually pay any tax.

So; upon sale of your stock then you can complete the relevant forms for CGT.
