When are you entitled for tax credit?

I really need to know......please no jokes

It depends, if its working tax credit and you don't have children then you have to be on a really low income
If you have children the its when your child is born or your income/situation changes
Phone the helpline if you are unsure they are really helpfull or go to www.entitledto.co.uk its a benefits calculator

Best thing to do is do the online questionnaire and it will tell you wheater you qualify or not...

http://www.taxcredits.inlandrevenue.gov....

When you work 18 hours or more in 1 week check web site www.hmrc.gov.uk

For working tax credits you have to be 25 or over working 30 hours a week, or over 16 and working 16 plus hours a week and hve a child....or over 16, disabled and working 16 per week

For child tax credit you have to have a child and be on a low income approx. 拢14000 and under

Well i get child tax credits because im a one parent family with a son, and my earnings arn't enough for us to live on, so they bump up my earnings with tax credits meaning im still able to work, Hopefully i'l be able to work my way up where i no needer long any form of benefit
