Hi I know someone who hasn't been paid for 3 months,,?

Is this legal??

Shes been working for 3 months and hasn't recieved a penny?

Shes a student I teach 16 and its a saturday job and she has been working for 3 months and everyone but her has been payed she's moaned but has'nt done anything to help!

It's all circumstantial, like I know with a University (at least with student jobs) if your a student you have to wait till your paper work goes through and until its completed and verified you can work and not receive a paycheck. More details would help, but I think that's a really long time to go without being paid.

I don't know the labour laws in England, then I can't say about being legal or not, but the good sense tells me, this is a situation that shows a lack of communication. Why do not ask to the employer what's happening? And politely make him know that this money is missing on her budget.
Good luck.
