Exporting from the UK?

If I want to export goods from the UK, will I be charged per kilogram and/or volume? And how much will I be charged per unit?

Wow Kate H, I am taken aback by your intellectual comment, if only all answers users were so thorough

First find a courier company that will handle your type of goods to the destination(s) required .. and then ASK THEM FOR A QUOTE ...

If these are specialist goods that are light but bulky (eg. expanded foam sculptures) you will be charged by volume, if small but heavy (lead bricks) then by weight .. ..

However MOST exports are handled (and charged) 'by the Container load' .. (there are two basic types of container - Air Freight and the (more common) Surface (ship) Freight .. they also come in various sizes ... )

NB. If you sell 'ex-works' the BUYER has to arrange the export ...

see link below - among the best known Incoterms are EXW (Ex works), FOB (Free on Board), CIF (Cost, Insurance and Freight), DDU (Delivered Duty Unpaid), and CPT (Carriage Paid To).

W!!!!hatever!!! Hapy Christmas
