VAT and Customs? |
I'm about to buy a watch on ebay. it will be shipped in from japan. The cost of watch is 拢15 and delivery is 拢16. Can anyone tell me roughly how much tax i'm likely to pay and how do I go about paying for it? thanks for your help! nothing any item below the cost of 拢18 is exempt from charges you will probably find they will mark the customs label as a GIFT, in which case you will be exempt from charges. VAT will be levied at the normal 17.5% and then there should be an excise charge - I'm afraid I'm not certain what that is. |
