How much is minimum wage for 40 year old??

The minimum wage is a legal right which covers almost all workers above compulsory school leaving age. There are different minimum wage rates for different groups of workers as follows:

The main rate for workers aged 22 and over increased on 1 October 2007 to 拢5.52 an hour from 拢5.35 an hour
The development rate for 18-21 year olds increased to 拢4.60 an hour from 拢4.45 an hour

The development rate for 16-17 year old increased to 拢3.40 an hour from 拢3.30 an hour
On 1 October 2007 the rate of the accommodation offset increased to 拢30.10 per week (拢4.30 per day) from 拢29.05 per week (拢4.15 per day)

Same as minimum wage for a 21 year old.

Does age matter ?

the same as it is for people over the age of 22

The same as anybody over the age of-is it 21? It's about 拢5.53 per hour now-it's just gone up and nothing to get excited about.
