Ever seen the General Commissioners with a Tax Appeal (UK) ?

Got to see the commissioners regarding a tax appeal in the morning has anyone ever been how did you get on ??

I went as a helper for "the other side" when I was working for the Revenue. There will be a list of people due to appear, and there will be one or more people from HMRC.
Usually, when it gets to this stage, it means the Revenue have done all they can to get information from you, which has not been forthcoming. The Inspector of Taxes will put his case, and then you will have an opportunity to answer. The General Commissioners listen to both sides, and then they make their decision. If they find for the Revenue, you may be given a few days to comply.
It is not possible to give you a more precise answer without knowing why you have been summoned to appear before the Commissioners, and what matters are outstanding.

These days it's unusual to appear before the Commissioners, because under self assessment, it shouldn't be necessary unless you've reached an impasse.
If you're a lay appellant, be yourself. Do not be afraid to ask the Commissioners or the Clerk for advice. They will help you, because they've got to be fair to all parties and not favour HMRC.
Make sure you have assembled all your evidence, and make notes of the points that HMRC make. They can spot a liar easily, so be honest.
