If council [A] send me to council [B] area for emergency housing....?

in a hotel, would i be responsible to pay any council tax whilst staying there. We thats 2 adults and 1 child and are on full benifits ie, incapacity and income support?

We have just suffered a whole year of courts and threats of bailifs etc being made "liable" for a debt we believe should not have arisen again we believe the Government makes the emergency hotel "exempt" we had police called infact the issue has now made us very uncomfortable, your help much appreciated .... You are not responsible for the council tax in a hotel, as the tax is paid by the hotel owners, who in turn claim it back from the council as you are on benefit.

If you were on benefits at the time then you should have received Council Tax Benefit too. You are liable to pay council tax if you stay somewhere for a certain amount of time.
