Taxes and take-home pay? |
What is the take-home pay (after ALL taxes) for someone making 30000 pounds in the UK assuming single and no dependents? Thanks It's never easy to be accurate with an answer to this. Everyone will have their own set of personal scenarios that dictate what their deductions from gross end up being. That said, as a very rough estimate, you're probably likely to lose around 30 to 35% in deductions for income tax and national insurance. Things can alter quite dramatically however if you are in receipt of a company car or any other taxable benefits. In regards to dependants and marital status, this no longer influences the amount of take-home pay. It may entitle you to various benefits but it doesn't really impact on you salaried earnings. If in doubt - call the Inland Revenue. You never know; they might be helpful! |
