Where will i pay more tax?


Under which condition will i pay more tax??

If my earnings are :-

1st job- 35 hours per week- 拢14000 per annum
2nd job- 30 hours per week- 拢11000 per annum
3rd job- self employed- 拢11000 per annum

OR

If my earnings are:


If my earnings are :-

1st job- 35 hours per week- 拢14000 per annum
2nd job- 30 hours per week- 拢11000 per annum
3rd job- 18 hours per week- 拢11000 per annum

How much tax am i paying on each situation?? what about tax paid due to being self employed?

Am i paying more tax being self employed or being employed??

It doesnt matter whether you are employed or self employed, it's your total annual income which is counted for tax purposes. Your total income from all sources is 拢36,000, so your annual tax bill will be about 拢6500.
You pay more NIC's as self employed as you would need to pay class 2 and class 4 on your profits as well as class 1 on your earnings.

Self employed income tax is no different than employed rates, its just you can lie on the self assessment about tax deductible things!

What is different for self employed is the lower fixed rate of NICs

Consider it like this. The more tax you are paying, the more money you are earning! So stop giving tax begrudgingly, we all have to do it.
