Where on the web can i work out exactly how much tax i should pay?

when i know my daily pay and working hours.

UK please

my employers are not very trustworthy and i feel i need to check for myself

Your daily pay and working hours don't come into it. Your tax and NIC liability is based on the weekly/monthly amount you receive, on what the Revenue call a receipts basis.
If you Google PAYE deductions UK, you will have a choice of sites, mostly provided by accountants. Enter the relevant figures, and check your deductions.
Re previous posters, 22% is the Basic Rate. You may not have to pay it, depending on your earning levels. The Lower Rate is 10%, and the Higher Rate 40%.For further details on rates, rate bands, and tax allowances look at the HMRC website.

I like this one

http://www.listentotaxman.com/

yep, 'listentotaxman' i did the same. my employers deducted too much tax on me so i proved them wrong with this website.

you need to go to your local tax office and they will till you.you should be paying 22 % of what you get paid
