Will. where are you? I need help with my w4 form.?

i need help on my w4. I started a new job today and I dont know what to claim. I have custody of my son, Im not recieving child support yet and I am in desperate need of money. I owe back child support and dont want my X to get my tax return wich he will but, I want to manipulate it so I get more back each pay period but dont owe at the end of the year.

it sounds like, from your description of your situation, that you would be entitled to all of your federal income tax dollars refunded to you, in which case, I would advise you to claim single 9 on your W4, to have almost nothing withheld each pay period, and still not owe at the end of the year.

note: this status, does not exempt you from paying state, local, social security, or medicare taxes.
