Please answer am i better of buying a 拢135 year one?????

Please help? i thought it was cheaper?
i phoned up tvv licence about cash entry card shceme thing anfd thought i could pay 拢11 a month for al icence, but it actually wors out deaer ythat if you buy a licence at 135 for the year surely? its 22.50 per month for6 months!?? s this right

Of course - you are paying over the odds for the privilege of laying monthly, same as any other provider!

but anyway... it really depends on how much money you have.

the monthly instalments wont be cheaper than paying off all in one go!
its normally for people who don't have all the money in their account and need to pay it monthly when they have the money.

if you do have the full 拢135 then pay it off for the whole year and you wont need to worry about it again until next year.

i personally prefer to pay for it for the whole year, so that i can forget about it and don't need to keep worrying about this and that bill still needing to be paid.

拢22.50 for 6 months works out at 拢135. if you have the money and can buy a full years license, youll not have to remember to buy it again, as theyll send you a letter near the time it needs renewing. or you can pay 拢35 a quarter by direct debit. they only thing with that is that you have to pay 拢140.50 for the full thing. the full price of the license is 拢135.50 a year.

I think you are a bit muddled.
I pay my TV licence by direct debit and there is no charge for doing so, as it is worth their while to have this security of payment rather than chasing up annual payments.
My 135.50 is paid as follows; 1 @ 11.41 (March 2007), 5 @ 11.37 (Apr to Aug), 1 @ 9.19 (Sep) and 5 @11.61 (Oct 07 to Feb 08).
My licence runs from 1st Sep until 31 Aug so you pay half of it before 1 Sep and half of it after.
However to get you on this system, I quote as follows:- Your new licence is paid for in monthly instalments within the first 6 months. You can then start to pay for your next licence in 12 monthly instalments of around 拢11 - six payments before it begins and 6 after. These payments will ALWAYS add up to the ANNUAL licence fee.
If you pay quarterly there is a premium of 拢1.25 per quarter because most of your licence is paid for in arrears.
