Do you think we are paying too little or too much tax? |
Why... Believe, its good you laugh now - cos you will be crying later! But seriously, it depends on many things - but predominantly what people collectively agree to (in terms of voting for an economic and social program at the polling booth - ie elections). But we must also consider the efficiency of every tax dollar or pound that is spent. Indeed how much of that is wasted. I reckon people dont mind paying taxes if they can see services and improvements in communities in general. What taxpayers dislike is paying through the nose and seeing services deteriorate and the expansion of governement employment way above a sustainable level. I think one should ask how can we improve the efficiency of every tax dollar spent. But thats a different question....I would say people in the UK pay too much tax for what they receive in return. apparently it will never be enough either way. I'd say that most of us are because I myself, Well, if the Democrats get control you better hold on to your allowance, they will try to tax everyone and everything. i think its a slight bit over than what we are wanting. but the nhs, old people, child care, roads, new buildings do not come cheap! We pay far too much tax in this country. Not only do we pay it on earned income but as we spend it we are hit by VAT and lots of other taxes, Then once we retire and get a pension which we have paid into we are taxed again. Far too little we should be paying much more. But seriously, taxes are getting out of hand in this country (UK) the cost of living is unbelievably high compared to other countries and what do we really get in return? Thats why so many brits move abroad. you maybe only 13 but you pay VAT on nearly everything you buy, we pay far to much tax in this country another reason why people are off abroad to live still pay tax but not on the level of this country Too little! Are you having a laugh? we are paying way too much, think about it,yes we get taxed on wages and everything we buy but the things they are doing, switching to digital for instance, that is gonna cost more money cos most of it will be HD and its more money to buy that to be compatable, everything we do we pay out more and more money, its ridiclas Yeah cant wait to get up in the morning payed tax on my earnings now pay for highly over taxed fuel in my road taxed car. Value added tax?????? If the government didnt keep writing off foreign debts/loans it would help. oh and we have the plasusre of supporting the imi-grants. If i performed as bad as the government/imigration id be sacked!!! Too much, for too little in return. When you grow up you will find that you are paying too much tax. |
