When you recieve your payslip do you get paid then or the date which is in your payslip?

For example i recieved my payslip on Friday but the date on it says 27th which is 3 days later, does that mean the money will be credited on that date or is it that since you get your payslip the money is already there? thanks.

The date stated on the slip as being the pay date, the slip is just to inform you of your salary and deductions.

it's the date on the slip it's just to let you know in advance that your wage is poo!!!

You can't guarantee that the money will be in your account until 27th, but it could be. The pay slip has been posted early so it gets to you in good time. The money goes electronically, so is not connected with the pay slip.

the date that is on the pay slip

Not necessarily either! Your best bet is to have a look at your terms of employment (which will usually say something like 'payment will reach your bank account by the 26th [or whatever day your employer pays staff] of the month', or your HR department may be able to give you a list of pay dates for the year.

No, if the date is 3 days in the future, that is the date the money will be available for withdrawal. It's called a postdated check.

The bank, seeing it's postdated, has a choice. It can return the check (not likely) or hold it to the date it's written for, and then credit it. (bankersonline dot com).

You will get paid on the date on your payslip. Legally (in the UK) you have to be given a payslip on the day you get paid or before you get paid.
