How much will Iget taxed for a 2nd job? (UK)?

How much will Iget taxed for a 2nd job? (UK)?

Of your total earnings (both jobs) the first 拢5250 is tax free (usually used up by your main job) the next 拢2125 is taxed at 10% (again usually on your first jobs earnings) anything above that, up to 拢40,000, is taxed at 22%

So if you earn more than 拢7375 in your first job, all your earnings on your second job will be taxed at 22%.

Anything above 40,000 is taxed at 40%.

depends how much you earn, you pay the same tax on what you earn no matter how many jobs you have.
your biggest earning job is your primary employer you other employer is a secondary job and the tax office should be informed you have two employers. if you earn 拢10000 from from the first job and 拢8000 from the second job you will pay exactly the same tax as someone who earns 拢18000 in one job providing you both have the same tax code

It might be best to contact your local tax off for the most upto date information. Or go to the link

at basic rate

Depends how much you earn overall. The Revenue will issue tax codes to each of your employers and they will make the necessary deductions.

There's lots of helpful information (in an easy to read format), including details of how much you have to earn before higher-rate tax of 40% kicks in, at:
