Taxing a car in the UK? |
Hi there. I know that its a requirement to have insurance to tax a vehicle. I was wondering if I have an insurance policy which insures me to drive my main vehicle plus any other vehicle not registered in my name, would I be able to purchase a tax disk for another vehicle or does the insurance have to be for that specific vehicle? It sounds to me a bit like you are trying to get car tax for someone else who doesn't have insurance. No, must be for that vehicle. Sorry but you need to have that vehicle insured aswell. Your insurance only allows you to drive another vehicle not in your name if that vehicle is insured by somebody else. what Nah you need insurance on that car It must be for that vehicle, it is cross checked by the DVLA if you get your disc on-line, or by the guy in the post office, when you go for the disc there. No nice try though |
