Go with block or modified block to show off your written business communication skills. You can look them up on lots of sites (just google or yahoo them). Also, be sure to keep it fairly short so you don't annoy them or sound like you're brown-nosing.

Be SURE to have someone besides yourself proofread it for errors--a letter with spelling or grammar mistakes might hurt your chance rather than help it. Center the letter vertically on the page, use nice paper, and type everything besides your signature, including the envelope.
