What are advantages of high taxes? |
What are advantages of high taxes? Australia's top income tax rate is 47 percent, and the top corporate tax rate is 30 percent. I believe this is quite high although I'm not complaining.... Advantages for whom? Because, if you're involved with the government, there's a ton. Well, I guess everyone could work for the government...so.....low unemployment?? It curbs spending to stop the economy growing at a rate which it can't handle. Think the Japanes economic bubble. High taxation is advantageous to government bodies.. not to general public. More revenues to the taxing governement and more government spending. Unless the taxes are being raised to plug a deficit, a government will typically spend incoming revenues. Ostensibly a high level of public services. Of the countries with very high taxes, about the only one that has it right is Denmark. |
