What date can u file income taxes? 2007 taxes will be due by April 15th, but you can file anytime after Jan. 1st if you have your W-2's due date for US federal taxes is april 16. but you can file anytime u can file anytime but the due date is the 15th unless u get an extension. The IRS will accept efiles somewhere around the middle of January. If you mail it, you can send anytime after the first of the year. In either case you have to wait until you get all your tax forms like W-2's or 1099's. As most have already mentioned, you can file from January for the preceeding year. The regular due date is April 15 of the following year. Anytime from January 1st to April 15th. However if you are a wage earner you can't file until you receive your Forms W-2 which will generally be sometime in January. They aren't due out until the 31st and many employers take all the time available to get them out. |
