You are asking if you need your TIN for your current work?

The answer: definitive YES.

For employed individuals, TIN is very important and all companies would require that as part of your employment requirements except when it's your first job.

For first time employment, the procedure is that your employer would usually apply for TIN in your behalf since the BIR would not accept applications when your not actually employed, that is, in case of first time employments.

In your case, however, it is apparent that this is not your first employment. So most probably, your previous employer/s should have applied the TIN for you. And in case you don;t know your TIN, you may refer to your BIR Form 2307 or 2316 whichever is applicable and available since it should bear your TIN. The 2307 or 2316 should be given to you by your previous employer/s as a mandatory compliance of a BIR regulation for withholding taxes and proof that you were withheld such amount of tax and that withheld tax was properly remitted to the BIR in full as per procedures.

If you will not provide your TIN to your current employer, the taxes withheld from your compensation will not be credited to your account with the BIR, well, at least, not immediately.

Hence, you must have at least the following documents if you could not memorize your TIN:
1. TIN card issued by BIR
2. Form2307 and/or 2316 bearing your TIN (these forms (from your previous employer/s) would usually be required by your current employer if you have successive and different employments within the calendar year)

Ciao!
