How many cost to send a Sony Handycam by a courier from NY to Lima, Peru??

(Sorry for my bad english) I need to know how many cost to send by a courier a Handycam, please the total cost (including all the taxes). Answer me please!!

Smaller private couriers here in LA charge $5-$10 per pound, depending on the time of year. Usually its not worth it because the shipping cost plus taxes usually turn out to be more than the product you're shipping is worth. I usually just send them cash, because i know they get the same products that are available in the US but cheaper since they import and export directly with Asia. Anyways you'll probably end up paying customs costs, and that is just over the top.

You can get the cost from any of the shipper websites such as UPS or DHL. However you'll have to contact the Peruvian Customs for information on the taxes. The taxes and duties must be paid by the recipient before the package will be delivered. You cannot pre-pay those. If you wish to pay it, you'll have to send the money to the recipient.
