I have just purchased a condo-do I now have to fill in a tax return form every year?

I am retired, have a Philippine resident retirement visa and have no local income except interest, the tax on which is already deducted at source.

There is a difference between property tax and income tax. The property tax is governed by the laws of your state.

Here in Texas property tax is generally paid through and escrow account that was set up with the original mortgage. For those of use who prefer to take care of taxes on our own and do not have an escrow account attached to our mortgage the state kindly sends us a bill each year.
