How much taxes I should take off?

How much will I be looking at in taxes where i work for this company but really I work for myself as a Travel Advisor and I make comission off every sale and my company pays me everything including the Gross. Every sale i Make 1500 dollars....I live in Edmonton, Alberta.

I would say around 28% to 33 % and just make an installment payment on your personal taxes.

I'm betting on that you will make more than 1500 in commission, in a month.

Keep receipts that you gather, and also you might need a form signed for Decleration of Employment. This states that the employee may have to money out of pocket and is not reimbursed for it.

I dont know what the provincial personal income tax is in Alberta.

Oh if you remit by cheque, write on the Re: section your S.I.N. # and for which tax year so it is applied to the correct year. Also you should do an enclosure letter with the cheque so it's clear on what you want to happen.

You may want to speak to a tax consultant about this for more clarifications. Explain your employment and income arrangements with them.

Taxes are more based on what you make in a year compared to what you make in a week.
