Should the private sector charge governments for collecting taxes and filling out government papers?

Good luck in trying to do that. If anything then, the government would just raise taxes to cover the charges from the private sector for collecting taxes and filling out government papers. Oh, and the government would probably have the private sector fill out some kind of form(s) (probably in triplicate) so that the private sector could get paid for filling out papers.

Lol! No I don't think we can do that.
For the amount of a refund I get each year it's well worth the couple of hours of my time (if that) to fill out and send the forms, so I'm not complaining. ;)
If you want money back from the govt, buy property if you can, and claim the interest you pay to the mortgage company. So long as you are paying taxes throughout the year at your job, you will get beaucoup bucks back.
